The Bob Collins Broadcast Journalist of the Year Award

Three awards are presented annually. Recipients must, at the time of selection:

• be full-time students at Fanshawe College and currently enrolled in level 4 of the Journalism Multimedia program
• have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 (cumulative)
• demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in Broadcast Journalism and a commitment to excellence
• Submits a resume, 3 course assignments that best reflect their versatility and skills as a journalist*.
• Submits a 500-word essay that speaks to their journalistic excellence in the program and their career aspirations*.

Candidates for this award are required to submit an application or assignment. Please contact your program coordinator for more information.

*3 awards are available and will be disbursed in Winter term as follows:
1st place – $1,500
2nd place – $750
3rd place – $750_
