Smart Serve Ontario Award

Five awards are presented annually. Recipients must, at the time of selection:

  • be full-time students at Fanshawe College and has completed at least level 1 in one of the following programs:
    o Baking and Pastry Arts Management (Co-Op);
    o Culinary Management;
    o Food and Beverage Management (Co-Op);
    o Hospitality – Hotel and Resort Services Management (Co-Op); OR
    o Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management (Co-Op)
  • have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • demonstrate leadership skills in the classroom
  • demonstrate a strong understanding of the regulations of alcohol service by successfully completing training in Smart Serve Certification
  • exemplify the skillset of a successful hospitality service worker
