The Mario DeAnna Family

The Mario DeAnna Family

Mr. Mario DeAnna spent his entire career focused on the people in his company and organization. Whether that was working as head of Labour Relations for Ford Canada or where he had the most fun and finished his career as a local McDonald’s Owner/Operator.

Mario always believed in the power of helping an employee reach their maximum potential.

After Mario’s passing in 2015, his wife Patricia, a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House for over 30 years and his daughter Colleen who is now the Owner/Operator of five McDonald’s restaurants, wanted to create an award to recognize a student who Mario would be proud of. That award became The Outstanding Service Award.

Impact

The Mario DeAnna Award for Outstanding Service is presented to a student who has worked for McDonald’s Restaurants as part of the journey in their career, shown outstanding personal initiative and who has also demonstrated a commitment to their community and to those in need. This award honors a student that excels not just in their chosen field of the Service Industry but also in the service of their community.
