Bruce County Early Childhood Education Award
The number of awards available each year will vary. Recipients must, at the time of selection:
- be registered as a full-time student in the Early Childhood Education diploma program or completing Early Childhood Education courses through part-time studies, and/or completing a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for the Early Childhood Education program
- self-identify as having a Bruce County home address OR be currently working in Bruce County’s Child Care and Early Years Program
- have achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.0
An award consisting of 50% of tuition costs and/or 100% of PLAR costs per student will be presented every academic term, for the completion of the program and/or course, to a maximum of $4,000 per student. An additional textbook payment of $100 per level of the program will be disbursed for each qualified student.
