The Edith and Donald Strupat Charitable Foundation was founded by the late Edith and Donald Strupat, providing financial support to various charitable organizations over many years.

Impact

The Strupat Foundation Innovation Award – Respiratory Therapy Program is presented to a full-time student and has completed the second year in Fanshawe’s Respiratory Therapy Program, and achieved a Grade Point Average of at least a 3.0. The student must demonstrate an interest and aptitude in advancing the use of technology through research and/or innovation, or contributed to the development of a technological innovation (product innovation) or (process innovation) that has been brought to market, or improved a product or process whose technological characteristics are significant and deferment.

The Strupat Foundation Innovation Award – GIS and Urban Planning Program is awarded to a full-time student who has completed the first year in Fanshawe’s GIS and Urban Planning Program, and achieved a Grade Point Average of at least a 3.0. This student must demonstrate involvement with the program outside of class ( i.e. open house volunteer, CACPT rep, class rep, attended field trips, etc.), and demonstrate community involvement or volunteer work outside of school within the last three years (i.e. member of a non-profit charitable group).
