The Family of William Miller, Sr.

The 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment – dubbed The Kangaroos – was attached to the Canadian 25th Armoured Delivery Regiment – ‘The Elgins’ – from St. Thomas, Ontario. Formed in Holland in 1944 and disbanded in Germany in 1945, the Kangaroos played a significant role to the end of hostilities in Europe. Today, the Elgin Military Museum is proud to keep the spirit of the Kangaroo Regiment alive and provide an opportunity for future generations to appreciate this unique Canadian contribution to the Second World War effort.
