S. Joseph Addley
A graduate of Fanshawe’s Fine Art – Cinematography program in 1972, S. Joseph Addley went on to work at the College for 38 years as a professor and program coordinator of the Advanced Filmmaking program. Joseph has served on the Fanshawe College Alumni Association’s board of directors and was recognized with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2001. His dedication for teaching and inspiring students led him to establish an annual endowed award to recognize an outstanding student pursuing a career in the film industry.
Impact
The Joseph Dunlop-Addley Filmmaking Award of Excellence is presented to a full-time student who has either completed second semester of the Advanced Filmmaking program or is enrolled in fourth semester of the General Arts and Science (Film Studies Major) program who demonstrates the skills, aptitude and drive to be successful in the filmmaking industry.
