Impact

The Long Point Eco-Adventures Leadership Award is presented to a student enrolled in the graduating level of the Adventure Expeditions and Interpretive Leadership diploma program (AEL) at the Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus. The student will have strong leadership skills, demonstrated a passion for environmental stewardship, and have a strong ability to design and deliver memorable expeditions for individuals or groups.

Long Point Eco-Adventures established this award to ensure students have the opportunity to experience the tourism sector as it operates while simultaneously developing real life skills.

“The partnership contributes to an evolving academic learning environment, wherein students have the chance to experience real life scenarios and successful tourism practices…This enables the students to appreciate how a successful tourism business strives on fostering a unique culture among the staff and management. It really creates a positive and fun working atmosphere!”
