In Memory of William Calzavara
Bill was an adult student who took on the task of returning to formal studies with considerable zeal. His attitude, his drive and his ability to overcome adversity have left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Sadly, Bill and his two children were killed in 1992—the victims of a crossover collision on Highway 401.
Impact
The William Calzavara Memorial Award honours the memory and spirit of a 1989 graduate of the Environmental Technology Program.
The friends and family of Bill Calzavara established this award to recognize students who, like Bill, have been able to balance the return to college with family commitments while keeping a good sense of humour.
