In Memory of Mary Ann Darling
Mary Ann Darling (Audio-Visual Production ’72) worked as an audio-visual technologist at Fanshawe for 15 years while volunteering as an alumni president from 1979 to 1981. In 1987.
Mary Ann was named the first alumni officer serving the almost 30,000 grads. Her life was cut short by a traffic accident in 1989, but her memory lives with an award presented to a student who exemplifies community service.
Impact
The Mary Ann Darling Memorial Alumni Award recognizes a graduating student who has achieved academic success in their studies while demonstrating a caring attitude and volunteer work above-and-beyond the requirements of their program.
