In Memory of Gary Tang
Gary Tang graduated from the Respiratory Therapy program at Fanshawe College in 1981. He worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London and at Timmins District Hospital before going to Victoria Hospital as the Clinical Instructor in 1988.
Gary sadly passed away suddenly in 2009. In his role as clinical instructor and therapist, he touched so many lives, encouraging professionalism and generosity.
Impact
The Gary Tang Memorial Award was established by his wife, Cathryn Tang, in 2010 and is awarded annually to a graduating student from the Respiratory therapy program who is active in their local community, demonstrates peer encouragement, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, professionalism and academic standing.
