In Memory of Dr. Victor Sells
Ruth Sells established an award in memory of her husband, Victor, who was a long-time Fanshawe faculty member. Dr. Victor Sells joined Fanshawe in 1979 as Professor in the School of Applied Science, later serving as coordinator of the Environmental Technology and Science Laboratory Technology programs. During his time at the College, he was a pioneer in developing a research program in atmospheric studies and a leader in establishing a Bachelor’s Degree program in Biotechnology. Although officially retired from Fanshawe since 2004, he was actively involved in several projects at the College until his passing.
Impact
The Victor Sells Memorial Award is presented to a student in either the Environmental Technology or Science Laboratory Technology programs who demonstrates outstanding peer encouragement and enthusiasm, outstanding interpersonal skills, professionalism and active community involvement.
