In Memory of DJ Nichol

DJ Nichol, a former Fanshawe College student, was born in London and tragically passed away in 2014 at the age of 23.

Throughout his life, DJ recognized the potential of a growing video gaming industry in London. His sportsmanlike conduct, along with his respect for video gaming, the game designers and fellow gamers quickly led DJ to become a leader in the gaming community. His contributions included forums, demo videos as well as live streams on his “Can We Play Games” YouTube channel.

DJ’s eagerness to inspire and encourage a new generation of gamers, and the sense of purpose and accomplishment he found in playing video games, led him to teach children of all skill levels.

As a student in Fanshawe’s Video Game Design and Development program, you share with DJ that passion, those friendships and the camaraderie of the gaming community.
