Impact
The Enbridge Renewable Energies Scholarship was established to support a student in Fanshawe’s Renewable Energies Technician diploma program.
The Enbridge Scholarship for Indigenous Leadership (in memory of MK Akiwenzie) was established to bring awareness to mental health and to commemorate the first year of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. Michael-Keith Akiwenzie is the younger brother of long-standing Enbridge employee Peter Akiwenzie and lived with mental health issues. MK passed away in March 2021 at the age of 32. Enbridge hopes this scholarship will aid its recipients in their studies and pique interest in pursuing a career in a utilities service.
