Cathie and Lowell Auger

Cathie and Lowell Auger are both strong supporters of Fanshawe College and its students and graduates. Fanshawe excels in providing students with career-focused education and training tailored to meet the needs of employers.

Lowell was a professor in the Accounting Program Teaching Accounting and Taxation for 10 years after a career as a CA/CPA working in various roles in industry. Cathie was a member of Fanshawe’s Administration for almost 38 years serving in many roles including Vice-President Student Services.

Impact

The Auger Family Bursary was created in 2016 when Lowell retired as a Professor in Fanshawe’s Accounting Program. The bursary is intended to support the success of future students in the program with much needed financial assistance as they pursue their studies.

The Betty Knepflar Bursaries were created in memory of Cathie’s mother, Betty Knepflar, who believed strongly in the importance of post-secondary education.

“We hope that the Auger Family Bursary and the Betty Knepflar Bursaries will help students to be successful in their studies so that they can graduate and pursue careers in their chosen fields.”
