The Canadian Professional Meat Cutters Association (CPMCA) is a not for profit group of dedicated Professional Meat Cutter / Educators working together.
The Canadian Professional Meat Cutters Association, while networking within the meat industry, is committed to offering the highest quality educational information and mediums that fulfils the goals and expectations of those whom it serves.
Impact
The CPMCA supports two awards.
The Canada Beef Award (in Partnership with CPMCA) recognizes full-time students in the Professional Butchery Techniques Accelerated or Professional Butchery Techniques program who have demonstrated excellence in the Meat Practicum 1 – Beef & Pork course, demonstrate leadership skills and an interest in pursuing a career in the beef sector, and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 (cumulative).
The North West Company and CPMCA Award recognizes full-time students enrolled in level 2 of the Professional Butchery Techniques program who have achieved a GPA of at least 3.0 (cumulative), demonstrated excellent attendance and demonstrated both leadership skills and practical skills in the classroom.
